I would use it first for research, comparison and preparation, then expand its permissions only after deciding which actions I am genuinely comfortable delegating.

That distinction matters because Comet is not simply Perplexity Search placed in a sidebar. Perplexity describes it as a Chromium-based browser with its own Assistant, natural-language browser commands, Gmail integration, contextual page questions, summarisation, built-in ad blocking and support for most Chrome extensions.
