Why is my Perplexity Android app not working?
The most common causes are corrupted cache, stale app data, an outdated app version, VPN or private DNS interference, weak network connection, wrong account sign-in or a temporary Perplexity service issue. Start with force stop, clear cache, update, restart and test the web version.
How do i clear Perplexity cache on Android?
Long-press the Perplexity app icon, tap App Info, open Storage, then choose Clear cache. On some Android skins, the path is Settings, Apps, Perplexity, Storage and cache. If cache clearing fails, Clear data resets the app more deeply.
Will clearing Perplexity data delete my saved threads?
Clearing Android app data removes local app state and signs you out, but cloud-saved account content should return after you sign back into the correct account. Confirm your login method first, especially if you use Google, SSO or email codes.
Why does Perplexity work on web but not in the app?
That usually means the Perplexity service and account are working, while the Android app has a local issue. Clear cache, clear data, update the app, restart the phone and reinstall only if the app still fails.
Should i turn off VPN when Perplexity fails?
Yes, for one diagnostic test. VPNs, private DNS and filtered networks can interrupt sign-in, retrieval or answer streaming. If Perplexity works after VPN is disabled, change VPN server, DNS settings or split-tunnel rules.
Why are my Perplexity Pro features missing on Android?
