Launched in April 2026 as a free Early Bird feature for Opera One and Opera GX, it uses the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, to let external assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude access browser context with permission. Opera says the connector can expose open tabs and active page content and can allow screenshots to be analysed.
